What are the proven ways to make money blogging?
In this article, I highlighted, 7 evergreen strategies to make money blogging.
Let's jump right in!
1. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate Marketing is when you recommend a product or service, you don't own to your audience or readers using special links in exchange for a commission.
Okay, let me explain this in real terms.
A. You have an audience that loves oranges because you write about oranges; but you don't have oranges.
B. You then connects with a friend of yours that have enough oranges that will suit your audience taste.
C. You then, recommend your friends oranges to your audience.
D. When you make a sale, your friend then, pays you a cut(commission) for a good job.
Affiliate marketing is a relationship based marketing that exists between three distinct parties:
The Affiliate
The Advertiser
The customer
The Affiliate is the promoter of the product, he publishes the products as a recommendation to his audience. They are also called Publishers.
The Advertiser is the owner of the product you would love to promote.
The Customer is the third party that both you(the Affiliate) and the advertiser is trying to persuade to buy your product or service.
As a Blogger, Affiliate marketing is the most easy and fast way for you to start making credible income through your blog.
All you need to do is to Join Affiliate Networks like
Commission Junction(Recommended)
Create a robust profile and get access to thousands of affiliate deals around your niche. Add affiliate tracking links and banner codes to your side and you're good to go.
2. Ads (AdSense)
Google AdSense is an easy(if not the most easy) way to make money blogging. You will get paid for every time a user clicks on the ad. This are called CPC ads.
CPC(Cost Per Click) is a fee set by advertisers for every click on ads placed on your site, by visitors.
You also get paid through CPM ads, (Cost Per Mille) "M" stands for Roman Numeral for 1000.
For CPM ads, you get paid for ad viewed through your site by your visitors.
Although, AdSense is a great way to earn, its usually slow based on the following factors.
1. AdSense accounts takes time to get approved. Your blog must meet AdSense requirements and also, approval takes days for some people and some weeks.
2.Your blog might not get approved after waiting.
3.If you're not in the geographical location where advertisers pay more; then your earnings will be low; due to low CPM and CPC rates.
4. You have to grow a large audience to earn more from AdSense.
If you can bit thus hurdle, you can really earn massively from AdSense, or better still, you can choose other ad networks like Media.net; their payouts are also good.
3. Publish Native ads and Contents
Unlike AdSense, Native ads are very friendly and so many advertisers spend 3 to 4 figures per day on native ad networks.
Native ads are contents placed on your site by a third party ad publishing network that you're affiliated with.
Through Native ads placed on your site like original contents(Internal links) people don't see them as add; so people click through very well (CTR:Click through Rate)
1.Sign up for native ad vendors/networks like Outbrain, Content.ad, Revcontent, Taboola etc
2.Place the codes to display ads; either at the top or at the bottom(recommended)
3.Contents related to your niche will be issued by the native ad network.
